Position Summary:

This position supports the day-to-day activities of circulation activities at our service desks, Monday through Friday. Performs searches to locate library materials requested from other libraries. Arranges loans of materials to and from other institutions through our interlibrary loan system, Tipasa. Submits billing invoices to borrowing libraries for lost interlibrary loan items. Creates and maintains materials electronic and hard copies for course reserves. Communicate with faculty on all course reserve issues, including maintenance, access, removal, and copyright compliance. Serves as the PCIRC (patron-initiated circulation) for OhioLINK. Manages OhioLINK supplies, and creates all OhioLINK reports according to the monthly and yearly schedule. Supervises a student employee for processing materials. Manages and orders office supplies for EID. Processes registration/transcript holds for library materials Assist in supervising student employees. Must function independently and within a team.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience using library services.
Basic knowledge of computers and scanners.
Basic knowledge of Google Apps and MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently, and also within a team environment.
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

College coursework.
Previous or current library working experience.
Experience with Sierra (circulation) software.
Experience with Tipasa (interlibrary loan) software.
Knowledge of course management systems and the role they play.
Excellent oral communication skills.
Supervisory experience.
Demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to interact with people effectively in a variety of situations.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
