Primary Purpose of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is clinical education and supervision of graduate students in the NCCU Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic. Additional duties include service and some scholarly activities. This position will enable the program to maintain accreditation by the CAA in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Earned Masters’s or doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech, and Hearing Science, or Communication Sciences and Disorders. Candidates must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP, a minimum of three years of clinical experience, and a minimum of two years of clinical supervision experience. Must meet the requirements for clinical supervision stated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and be eligible for North Carolina Licensure.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates with expertise in neurogenic communication disorders, multilingualism, and/ or complex communication needs will receive preferential consideration. Other areas of expertise will also be considered. Candidates must be familiar with the current trends of the profession and have knowledge of developmental disabilities, neurogenic disorders, and disabilities across the life span. A commitment to effective clinical education and student development is required
