Location: Moscow, Boise

Pay Range: $43,300 annually or higher depending on experience

FTE: 1

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:
Three (3) positions will be hired with two (2) located in Boise and the third located in Moscow. The assistant director of development is responsible for developing and expanding philanthropic investment opportunities for the university. Specific responsibilities include management of an assigned portfolio; the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual donors and prospective donors; strategic donor engagement including an emphasis on substantive, strategic appointments; proposal development; identification and solicitation of annual leadership gifts (defined as gifts of $2,500+) from individuals. This position is a key member of the Advancement development fundraising team and works collaboratively to achieve fundraising goals for the university.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One year of experience in outside sales, marketing, public relations, development or other work experience which involved direct contact with clients, customers, prospective customers, and members of the public.

  • Familiarity with database computer systems and applications, preferably with customer relationship management systems.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
  • The ability to lift and/or move publications and/or meeting/event materials on occasion.



Required Licensures, Certifications or other
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours with a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to meet U of I driving requirements.
