Job Summary

The Ausborn lab is seeking a research assistant for a project investigating sensorimotor transformations.

Essential Functions
  • Computational modeling of neurons and neuronal networks using Python and NEURON
  • Procession of experimental data, including but not limited to electrophysiology, histology imaging, EM, and sequencing
  • Assemble findings in professional figures and publications
  • Present progress reports to the group
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or relevant field
  • Programming experience in Python and NEURON
Preferred Qualifications
  • Research experience with Drosophila melanogaster
Physical Demands
  • Typically sitting at a desk/table
