Program Coordinator
Location: Off Campus Location - Canyon County Extension/Caldwell

Position Summary:
Coordinate the 4-H program in Canyon County. Be responsible for certifying, training and supervising volunteers and provide leadership in developing, planning, and conducting programs that deliver youth education and volunteer development curricula. Provide new families with information about the 4-H program and place new members into 4-H clubs. Provide program support for 4-H youth, parents and volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a closely related field; or 4 years’ experience as a youth development professional.
- Experience with the 4-H Youth Development program or other out-of-school youth development programs.
- Experience using computers and current standard computer software, including web-based applications.
- Experience developing, presenting and implementing training.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment to accomplish shared goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with program marketing and promotion.
- Experience with fundraising.
- Experience organizing and managing the work of volunteers.
- Experience with livestock and/or horse educational programming.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concise reports and effectively speak to audiences of youth and adults.
- College coursework in child/youth development and education.
- Experience working with bilingual/bicultural audiences (which could include Latinx, refugee populations, migrant populations) and/or ability to speak and read Spanish on a basic level.

- Willingness and ability to conduct and attend evening and weekend activities and meetings.
- Willingness and ability travel to other work sites. Must have access to reliable transportation for some travel. Mileage will be reimbursed per county policy.
