Merrimack College is a selective, private college in a beautiful, residential setting — just minutes from Boston, Massachusetts.

Position Overview: The Mathematics Department invites applications for adjunct instructor positions for the fall 2022 term. Instructors are needed for mathematics courses including

MTH1111 Basic Statistics and MTH1217 Calculus I. Classes begin Monday, August 29, and the semester runs through Saturday, December 17. The pay for this position is $4,730 per section taught, and the available sections are scheduled to meet MWF mornings.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field and a record of prior college-level teaching are required. The preferred candidate will have effectively taught undergraduate courses at the freshman level. Experience with active learning, inquiry based learning, technology in the classroom, and on-line homework are particularly desirable.
