Special Instructions to Applicant:

The AUM College of Business, Department of Information Systems is searching for adjunct instructors to teach upcoming daytime or evening classes in Information Systems during the Fall and Spring semesters. Since adjunct faculty positions are ongoing pooled positions, your materials will remain on file and reviewed on an as needed basis for adjunct faculty positions throughout the upcoming semesters.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to:
  • Adjunct instructors will be required to teach from established curriculum while adding personal expertise and real-world experience to the course.
  • Courses are expected to be taught in person and the instructor would be expected to be on campus to teach classes.
  • Instructors will be expected to meet class regularly, manage and give feedback on assignments, be available for communication with students, and work professionally and collegially with all students.
  • A commitment to working with a diverse population of students is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours information systems or related field from a regionally accredited institution is required with a degree from an AACSB -accredited university (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Applicants should have professional experience in industries and/or teaching experience in business statistics or in related fields sufficient to meet appropriate AACSB qualifications.
  • Previous experience using Blackboard, Canvas, or other learning management systems, from an instructor standpoint is preferred.
