Vacancy Number: S-00924 Position Title: Administrative Associate Classification Title: Department: College of Nursing and Health Sciences Administration Employment Type: Full-Time Duties and Responsibilities:
The Administrative Associate for the Nursing Student Recruitment, Admissions, and Progression Office is accepting applications for the Administrative Associate position. The Administrative Associate for the Nursing Student Recruitment, Admissions, and Progression Office will support the Associate Director and other staff in the office. This office is responsible for student recruitment (including on-and -off campus events), admissions into the undergraduate Nursing program, and nursing student progression through the Nursing Program to graduation and alumnae status. This position will work closely with Pre-Health/Pre-Professional Advisors in Central Advising as they gather documents and identify appropriate applicants for admission to the SON Undergraduate Programs.

The qualified candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Nursing Student Recruitment, Admissions, and Progression Office;
  • Receive, open, sort, prepare, and distribute mail and other correspondence;
  • Provide support for the Associate Director and other staff members;
  • Assist with student recruitment events (on and off campus), preparation of materials for recruitment, correspondence related to events, and follow-up from events;
  • Preparation of applicant information for nursing admissions, communicate with pre-health and pre-professional advisors regarding applicant data so that applicant files are complete for each admission cycle;
  • Maintain student progression data for all baccalaureate nursing students;
  • Prepare paperwork for and communicate with newly admitted students in order to be ready to enter the nursing program;
  • Assist with new student orientation for baccalaureate students;
  • Assist with call campaigns;
  • Maintain files for all admitted baccalaureate nursing students;
  • File student paperwork each semester;
  • Serve as the primary liaison with 3rdparty vendor to ensure all baccalaureate nursing students are meeting clinical requirements and coordinate with faculty to clear students to go to the clinical setting;
  • Gather required student data each semester and maintain data reports as needed;
  • Assist with the graduation paperwork each semester;
  • Assist with school and college events, including but not limited to the White Coat Ceremony, Pinning, and Honors Night;
  • Maintain files for graduated baccalaureate students and associated student honors and awards;
  • Maintain files related to baccalaureate nursing student alumni and contact information
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The successful candidate should have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain confidentiality as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications:
