Assistant Professor of Psychology, Social Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Bryant University invites
applications for a tenure-track position in the area of
Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. This appointment
will begin on August 1, 2023. Area of expertise within social
psychology is open, however, special consideration will be given to
candidates with expertise in sociocultural factors, social justice,
and/or issues related to industrial/organizational psychology.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Social Psychology or a
closely related discipline or be ABD with completion of degree by
August 1, 2023. The successful candidate must be committed to
upholding excellence in teaching social psychology and research
methods, establishing a scholarly publication record, and serving
as an active member of the Bryant University community. Candidates
will be expected to develop and sustain a productive research
program that involves undergraduates and contributes to the growth
and development of the department. Review of applications will
begin October 1, 2022.
The Department of Psychology educates undergraduate students and
offers a psychology minor, psychology concentration, and a BS in
psychology. Students engage in original research and have field
placement opportunities. The Psychology Research Center includes a
mock clinical lab, a Child Development Research & Teaching lab,
a psychophysiology lab with the full iMotions suite of modules, a
general lab room, an observation and recording room, and a
reception area. Housed in the university's new School of
and Behavioral Sciences, the Psychology Department is in a
period of exciting program growth and expansion.
