Job Description
Mizzou Athletics is seeking part time food service workers to join our food service team. Responsibilities include:
Preparing food according to instructions and following proper food handling techniques; assisting in keeping food service records (e.g., quantities prepared, left, and served; product, equipment, and/or water temperatures; cleaning checklists; quality assurance checklists).
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure work area.
Setting up service/preparation areas; cleaning and replenishing the service/preparation areas, dining room, and dishwashing/pot-and-pan areas during and after service; disassembling and cleaning machines.
Providing high quality service to customers.
Assisting in meeting the department’s objectives.
Directing, helping train, and assisting student employees in food preparation, service, sanitation, safety, and security activities.
Helping the department constantly improve and reach its vision.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Salary
Salary Range: $11.15 – $15.81
Salary commensurate with experience and abilitites.
GGS Grade: B
University Title: Food Service Worker I

Shift
Shift times are variable, Mon – Fri 6 a.m – 3 p.m; Sun 12 p.m -7 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
A job offer for this position is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the physical capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds)
- Good physical health.
- Some knowledge of and experience in basic food preparation, service, and/or sanitation methods and a desire to provide high-quality customer service are strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Photo Mechanic
Ability to work nights, weekends and travel to away competitions will be required.
Previous experience working in an athletic enviroment
