Job Summary
Process transactions from students, staff and faculty and counsel students regarding their accounts. Ensure Department's adherence to operating policies set by Associate Vice President for Finance. Adhere to lending Institutional, Federal, State regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Posts transaction in cash, checks, money order or credit card receipts through ERP ' Banner for student and departmental accounts
  • Reconcile daily cashiering activity
  • Prepare summary and deposits and close sessions for subsequent turnover to Business Manager/Bursar/Assistant Bursar for reconciliation
  • Maintain control of documents in support of cash receipts sessions for internal use auditors' use
  • Ensure safekeeping of monies, checks, cash trays/boxes and accountable forms
  • Monitor adherence to petty cash and cashed checks
  • Monitor encashment policies related to amounts, forms, and signatories

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience
  • One (1) or more years of related work experience

Proposed Salary
$15.91 - $18.94 per hour
