​To be responsible for promoting innovative pedagogies and student learning with technology, and supporting faculty members with communication technologies and audio-visual learning resources. As well as, providing suitable and professional training for faculty members and students regarding new learning technologies, in order to achieve UoS's teaching and learning strategic goals.


  1. Collaborate with faculty members to develop effective innovative courses and digital learning materials, and develop technologies that support other learning initiatives such as contextual learning, academic assessment, or student services.
  2. Run an assessment analysis across the Academic Colleges on the effectiveness of courses and instructional materials that are produced/used during the learning process.
  3. Design, develop, and facilitate training workshops for faculty, administrative staff members and students in the use of technology and active learning techniques, including preparing materials, training sessions and developing online tutorials.
  4. Manage the process of assigned course/ projects and provide periodic reports on course development and other projects.
  5. Provide advice and counsel to the Director of Institute of Leadership in Higher Education on the strategic, tactical and operational issues associated with the use of technology for teaching and learning purposes.
  6. Assist in the assessment process of the effectiveness of course/instructional materials that are produced.
  7. Provide methods for the learning needs analysis to ensure the appropriateness of digital instructional materials.
  8. Assist faculty members across the Academic Colleges in researches related to the use of technology in the education sector, and provide support to any administrative staff engaged in digital content development.
  9. Participate in faculty development initiatives designed to improve faculty readiness in applying e-course material design, delivery, and evaluation during classes.
  10. Prepare various reports, analysis and statistics related to the Institute of Leadership in Higher Education when requested by the line manager.



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
  • Excellent working knowledge of personal computer applications with an emphasis on MS office applications.
  • Knowledge of Banner and/or Blackboard Systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, including instructional design, learning styles, distance learning theories, and practices, etc.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching and learning technologies.
  • Experience working with faculty and students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and strategic planning skills.
  • Time management skills, attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks and produce reports under strict guidelines.
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
  • Inquisitive mind and passion for excellence.
  • Flexibility and ability to function effectively as part of a team.



  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a relevant discipline.
  • A Master's degree in Educational Technology or a related field is a plus.
  • 6-8 years of UAE experience in similar role preferably in higher education institutions.
  • Priority is to UAE Nationals.
