The Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies located in the College of Education (COE) at the University of Arizona invites applications in the area of Rehabilitation Counseling and/or Mental Health Counseling. This is for an academic Tenure-Track Assistant Professor. The position begins August 2023.

The Counseling Program consists of a Master’s Degree in Counseling with specializations in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling as well as a Doctoral Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. All of the programs are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

The MA program is growing and in high demand with approximately 100 students currently enrolled in the MA Degree in Counseling and 10 students in the PhD Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision. The faculty members are fully committed to playing a key role in addressing the needs of school districts and rehabilitation and mental health programs in the surrounding community, as well as impacting the lives of students and persons with rehabilitation and mental health needs on a national and global level. Faculty members engage in applied research that can directly inform practice and address the needs of children and adults, as well as school, rehabilitation and mental health personnel and policy-makers.
