Job Summary
The Athletics photographer is responsible for taking fast action photographs of the Long Beach State student-athletes at athletics events.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Use of personal photography equipment. Knowledge of storytelling, lighting, composition, creativity needed to capture the correct shot. Attention to detail in regard to color, angles and other components to ensure high-quality photographs.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related professional or technical experience required. Prior NCAA Division I collegiate or professional athletics preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this classification is $18.00 to $30.48 per hour.
Time Base
This is a Public Affairs/Communications Specialist I and is intended for qualified applicants to be called upon for temporary appointments on an as-needed basis. Temporary appointments may be cancelled at any time. Successful candidates may be appointed for a few days and up to one (1) year depending on the assignment.
