Non-Credit Instructor- Phlebotomy Technician

• The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department at Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit Phlebotomy Technician instructor during the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
  
  
  
  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILTIES : the ability to teach a full-time, non-credit Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program which includes the following:
  

• Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology
• Safe collection of blood and other specimens
• Venipuncture technique, and
• Basic laboratory procedures.

The Instructor must be able to maintain discipline and safety in the classroom. In addition, the Instructor must ensure that the facilities are properly maintained and all administrative requirements are completed in a timely manner.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least two years or more of experience working as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician.
• One year of experience teaching adults in the allied health career field.
• Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or Medical Laboratory Technician

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to provide instruction remotely via Zoom should conditions require.
