Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position supports functions within the SUCCESS Program in the Retention and Completion Division including desk and phone coverage and grant budget and reporting support to the 4Cs4U SUCCESS Program. Applicants must possess strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite applications to complete primary job functions.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  1. Maintain inventory of office supplies, promotional materials, and student swag gifts.
  2. Track SUCCESS 4Cs4U program usage and participation in campus-wide support programs and recommend ways to increase program participation.
  3. Communicate with students and other college departments as appropriate and provide high quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
  4. Provide office support to the Director of SUCCESS, including creating and distributing event promotion materials, assisting with budget and procurement paperwork, assisting with grant reporting, and office coverage, as needed.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. High school diploma or equivalency.
  2. Dedication to providing quality customer service.
  3. An interest in student success and completion in community college.
  4. Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word; Excel; and Outlook.
  5. Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills.
  6. Ability to work calmly, patiently, and effectively with a diverse population of students and other members of the College community.
  7. Strong organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  8. Excellent telephone and e-mail communication skills.
  9. Ability to work as a team member.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION : Part-time, up to 18 hours per week; $17.45 per hour. Grant funded, non-benefited, Non-unit Position.
