Job Description:
Are you interested in joining a busy team of doctors and technicians who are committed to providing excellent care to patients in the medical oncology service? We are looking for an OPS veterinary assistant to join our fast paced service. This position will work 20-40 hours per week and is currently time limited to approximately six months. Hours that need coverage are 7:30am-5:30pm Monday - Friday
Primary duties will include assisting the veterinary technician with:
• Basic animal handling such as restraint
• Patient intake and discharge
• Submitting samples and scheduling of diagnostic procedures
• Maintaining inventory and stock
• Maintaining cleanliness of the area and equipment
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, maintains a positive attitude at work, communicates effectively, and has a desire to learn.
Shifts are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM. Please detail your availability in the application.
Expected Salary:
$15-$16 per hour.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience
• Experience in Veterinary Medicine
