Position Summary

The Department of Nuclear Medicine, State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) has a Postdoctoral Associateposition available immediately. The successful candidate is expected to be the driving force in developing a single photon emission tomography system based on a novel self-collimation concept. The position offers a motivated individual an outstanding opportunity in developing innovative methods and techniques in a new technology field. The term of the position is up to 3 years .

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. degree in applied science or engineering, preferably in a direction of which the previous training and skills are closely related or transferable to developing a radiation detection-based imaging system.
  • Algorithm and software development experiences and solid math skills.
  • Experience in image reconstruction and/or instrumentation research and development.
  • Knowledge about radiation physics and experience in Monte Carlo simulation.
