Salary for Announcement

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $72,200 – $96,400.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Information Officer, the ITS Business Analysis Manager leads a team that specializes in capturing client requirements, analyzing data sources and business processes to produce reports, to scope and support technology projects requirements and to provide recommendations for future system enhancements. You and your team members serve as experts on University technologies and work with our clients to design solutions that serve the needs of our students, faculty, and staff.

Duties/Responsibilities

Staff Leadership
  • You’ll guide team members while creating team goals and supporting their professional journeys.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring agreement on University needs and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with peers to design and implement modern business processes.
  • Develop team metrics for resourcing and performance reporting in-order to forecast service demand.
  • Advocate for Business Analysis activities and develop resources and communications that promote ITS BA services.
Business Analysis
As a working manager, you’ll collaborate directly with University peers to design technology solutions.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of business processes across all university areas.
  • Develop and deliver work products that document strategic, operational and tactical requirements.
  • Work with partners to evaluate and prioritize analysis requests.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, trainings and seminars to multiple audiences.
  • Display curiosity, creativity, and commitment to learning to solve important business problems.
  • Ensure diverse representation in solutions designed to support all students, staff and faculty.


Project Management
  • Support project scoping, requirements-gathering and project plan development.
  • Partner with the Project Management team to provide an unified project delivery experience.
  • Manage projects on an as-needed basis to support operational success and strategic goals.
Other Tasks as Assigned
  • Occasional after-hours or on-call work and infrequent travel will be required for this position.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in a technical environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading technology-focused business, data or technical analysis professionals
  • Experience facilitating large-scale analysis and solution design efforts
  • Experience in the higher education industry
  • Experience working with Ellucian Banner, Workday or comparable ERP / SIS solutions
  • Experience with data analytics tools like Prism, PowerBI or Tableau
  • Professional Certification(s) such as Scrum Product Owner, Certified Business Analysis Professional, IIBA, ITIL or similar
Work Hours

Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm, occasional weekends and additional hours as needed.
