Event & Scheduling Coordinator

Job Description Summary:
The Event and Scheduling Coordinator at the University of La Verne reports to the Director of Scheduling, Events and Commencement Services. The Events and Scheduling Coordinator will provide management of events and event requests from both outside conferences/groups and internal University groups, including planning, set-ups/breakdowns, and coordination of request. In addition, this position will support the day to day activities, services, and programs in the Abraham Campus Center and activities connected with major University programs, including, but not limited to Commencement. The position will liaison to various campus departments in relationship to all aspects of Events, Conferences, Abraham Campus Center and Commencement duties, this includes Housing, Campus Safety, Transportation, Risk Management, Facilities Management, Capital Planning, Housekeeping and Catering. The position will assist in supervising all Scheduling, Event and Campus Center Student Staff by assigning work, scheduling, training, and fostering leadership development with an emphasis on teamwork, retention, appreciation, and respect for diversity, a safe and healthy learning environment, and campus engagement. The Event Coordinator is responsible for developing and ensuring policies, procedures are in compliance, and equipment is up to code and will assist the Director with all budgetary needs related to all Conferences, Events, Abraham Campus Center and Commencement which will include employment, revenue, and billing.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Clerical/budget/accounting experience - 2 years

  • Detail Oriented
