Job Summary
The successful candidate will teach Government and Political Science courses in the Department of Social Sciences
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and Skilled in Blackboard, Banner and other online or statistical packages.
- Ability to operate office equipment including a calculator, copier, projector, Scranton machine, etc.
- Ability to teach varied courses in Social Science.
- Advise Social Science students about academic requirements and registration for classes.
- Contribute to continual program improvement through annual evaluation of program outcomes and objectives.
- Prepare required information for quality enhancement planning and evaluation.
- Assist in ongoing program curriculum development and participate in service to the program, department, school, and the community.
- Actively engage in professional activities related to Social Science disciplines, including a demonstrated commitment to a specific research agenda.
- An earned doctorate in the relevant academic discipline or Master degree.
- Prior teaching experience on the community college or university level is preferred.
