Cluster Hire Focused on Race and Ethnicity Scholarship
Through the Race and Ethnicity Cluster Hire Initiative, Washington University in St. Louis aims to build a world-class research program on race. Two previous rounds of this cluster hire initiative took place in 2020-21 and 2021-22. We invite applications for open-rank tenured/tenure-track faculty positions across a range of fields, with a focus on the study of race and ethnicity. The following departments and schools will be considering candidates for these positions:

Candidates will specify the unit(s) for which they seek to be considered in the application portal.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree in a field related to one or more of the units listed above, or else complete all degree requirements by July 1, 2023. Candidates must have an active and innovative research agenda focused on race and/or ethnicity and a commitment to excellent teaching. Candidates for the rank of associate or full professor should have an outstanding teaching, service, and publication record commensurate with tenure at that rank.
