Job Description Summary
The Accounting Department at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning fall 2023. We are seeking candidates with research and/or teaching interests in accounting topics that involve data analytics, big data, text analysis, machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Qualified candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor levels will be considered. Bentley is committed to the teacher-scholar model where teaching, scholarship, and service excellence are expected and valued.

Bentley University and its accounting programs are AACSB-accredited. The Department of Accounting offers undergraduate degrees, masters degrees, and its own Ph.D. program. A recent accounting research rankings list produced by BYU based on the last 12 years ranks Bentley as #2 in Education, #8 in Auditing, and #14 in AIS research productivity. Salary is competitive, and support is available for summer research, teaching, course development, and travel to professional meetings. Our scholarly research culture is vibrant and supportive.

Minimum Qualifications

A qualified candidate must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D./D.B.A.) in Accounting from an AACSB- accredited institution, be highly committed to excellence in teaching, and demonstrate strong potential for high-quality scholarly research and publication.
