Job Summary

The Division of Continuing Education and Professional Studies at CU Boulder encourages applications for the Enrollment Services Manager position! This position serves as a leader for a dynamic team of Enrollment Services specialists and collaborates with a wide variety of individuals from both the university and Boulder communities. This role supports the enrollment needs of the Division of Continuing Education’s (CE) credit and noncredit programs, and ensures that processes are carried out with consistency and that the accuracy of the student record is maintained. The Enrollment Services Manager works closely with other units on campus such as Registrar's Office and academic departments to assure that the needs of non-degree and non-traditional students are being met. Additionally, as the head of the Enrollment Services team, this position will act as the liaison with other units within CE, such as the records team, marketing, and program staff. CE prides itself on exemplary customer service, and as the head of a frontline staff unit, the Enrollment Services Manager exemplifies and creates a culture of student-focused practices and policies. We offer accurate information, strategic solutions, and compassion to help people identify their options and make informed decisions about their academic and professional journeys.CE’s Student Services unit offers academic, career, and pre-health advising, as well as enrollment and records support, to a variety of populations, including non-degree-seeking students, academically suspended students, degree completers, and students needing flexible course modalities. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Manage Processes and Workflow in Enrollment Services
  • Monitor, assess, and manage the workflow (quantity and quality) of the registration area on an ongoing basis. Includes keeping staff informed about their individual levels of productivity, adjusting day-to-day work assignments in accordance with the ebb and flow of the annual workload, and implementing staffing adjustments to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. Also includes determining and implementing the best methods for handling the overall workload.
  • Serve as an expert on registration-related matters within the Division, particularly with respect to the differences and overlaps with main campus registration policies and procedures. This responsibility requires being on the front end of new developments and changes which affect registration procedures.
  • Create and maintain records of policies and processes, updating as changes occur.
  • Determine the impact and relevance of new technologies on the student and unit staff experience.

Supervise Enrollment Services Unit
  • Supervise all permanent, temporary, and student employees who work in the Enrollment Services unit. This includes hiring, orienting/re-orienting, training, and performance review/planning in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Provide specialized training and re-training, as the need arises.
  • Work with the Continuing Education HR liaison for all HR-related issues.
  • Create a cohesive team, supporting individuals and leading the unit in a student-focused culture.

Serve as Expert on Specialized Student Populations
  • Serve as a leader in determining the best enrollment processes for specialized student populations. This will include, but is not limited to students in the High School ACCESS program, the Auditors Program, and the Extraordinary Program.
  • Work with Division staff to understand the enrollment needs of the program and special student population attributes.
  • Engage with entities outside the Division as needed (e.g. BVSD, the Alumni Association, academic departments, etc.).

Partner with Offices/Departments Throughout the University
  • Regularly attend Registrar Office Town Hall meetings and develop a network of connections within the Registrar's Office to ensure that Continuing Education policies and processes align with main campus where possible.
  • Connect with academic units to communicate the unique needs of non-degree/non-credit students and offerings of Continuing Education programs.

Participate in the Division Committee Work and Professional Development
  • Attend monthly and weekly staff/team meetings.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to professional development and engagement by participating in professional associations, conferences, trainings, webinars, etc.
  • Serve on Division and campus committees.
What You Should Know
  • The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday work week. School year hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • This position will work a hybrid format, with at least three days in person per week.
  • All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to comply with the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement. New employees must provide proof of vaccination or receive a medical or religious exemption within 30 days of employment.
What We Can Offer
  • The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $68,000.

What We Require
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years working in a college or university Student Information System.
  • 1+ year serving in a leadership, training or supervisory role.
