Job Details
The Department of Geography, Planning, & Sustainability at Rowan University is seeking a dynamic part-time faculty member to teach 3 courses in the fall semester, with the possibility of renewal for spring. Content areas include graduate-level New Jersey planning and environmental regulations, planning ethics, community planning and site design, and general introduction to planning for undergraduates. Courses are offered in the evening or online, so this position is excellent for a working professional that is also passionate about teaching and planning education.
A master’s degree in planning or closely related field is required. Applicant’s with experience in the planning profession, especially in New Jersey planning, will be exceptionally competitive for this position.
Applicants should document their teaching experience, including providing evidence of prior teaching success if available (such as course evaluations, syllabi, student work, etc.). In addition, please provide the names and contact information for three (3) references.
