Purpose of Position
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to faculty, staff and students in the department, as well as maintaining and developing a social media presence. Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to faculty, staff and students in the department. As such responsible for knowing and understanding departmental, college, and university policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop social media presence on various social media platforms including the department web site. Responsibilities include posting department events, student activities and successes, programmatic changes/updates, departmental/program changes. Coordinate preparation of marketing material for Norse Days, Welcome Wednesday, career events, and new student orientation – Northern Exposure. Responsible for coordinating departmental and student meetings and events and accommodating room requests. Provide support related to recruitment and retention activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all syllabi are uploaded in Digital Measures (Faculty Success)
  • Provide support related to recruitment and retention activities.
  • Assist with supervision of student employees, assigning duties and projects.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree and one year’s related experience required. Must have a working knowledge of standard software packages and social media platforms

Person must be a self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks and demonstrate mature judgment. Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work well with others. This position is full-time for 9 months. Minimum Education Associate Degree Preferred Education Minimum Experience 1 year Salary $14.86/hr minimum Pay Grade S65
