The Coordinator of the Welcome Center will counsel students and families about postsecondary options and recruit them to NKU including conducting individual and group information sessions and provide tours of the campus. The Coordinator represents NKU at high schools, community colleges, community partners and at college day/night programs; manages assigned recruitment territory, designs and implements campus visitation programs, and supports orientation events. Position is responsible for meeting application, admit and enrollment targets. Primary Responsibilities
1) Manage a defined recruitment territory.

2) Coordinate all visit activities in the Welcome Center.

3) Supervise student workers and tour guides.

4) Support Orientation for first time freshmen and transfer students entering NKU ; Plan and facilitate components of Orientation Leader and Victor Guide selection and training and support programming for VictorFest.

5) Counsel Donovan Scholars/adult students with admissions application and collaborate with academic advising services to schedule classes.

6) Counsel Home School students and parents through the enrollment process.

7) Coordinate campus visit programs including: Norse Days, Northern Kentucky Regional College Fair, School Based Scholar and Young Scholars events, High School Group Visits (includes all faculty and staff communication to support recruitment events)

8) Work collaboratively with the Assistant Director of Communications and Technology to develop effective marketing campaigns, materials and communications to promote visit programs.

9) Set the standard for the exceptional customer service practices by proving outstanding service to all prospective students.

10) Serve as the coordinator to schedule support for any summer camps or agreed partnerships (Governors Scholars, Summer Spark, etc.).

11) Evaluate visit program success through frequent assessment; collaborate with the Assistant Director of Admissions in order to provide reports to director highlighting successes and recommendations for improvements.

12) Position is responsible for meeting application, admit and enrollment targets. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and two years related experience required. Excellent communication and management skills, administrative system implementation, event management experience, strong analytical and organizational skills. Superior customer service experience.

Candidate will need to have experience and/or interest in the recruitment and training of volunteers. Extremely detail orientated, diplomatic with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy, critical thinking skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, prepare and deliver professional presentations. Must have ability to make accurate and deliberate decisions in an often-high volume work environment. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
