Adjunct Faculty - ELSA Math

Job Summary

The Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy is a four year certificate program for students with disabilities. We are seeking a person to teach four ELSA math credit courses. To be a successful ELSA Adjunct, candidates should be invested in being collaborative, and possess the desire to work in higher education. Must be open to working with students with varying abilities

• Math Concepts/ Financial Smarts I and Financial Smarts III (First Semester)
• Financial Smarts II and Financial Smarts IV (Second Semester)

Essential Functions

• Plan, Organize, and deliver math instruction
• Collaborate with Director, adjunct faculty to evaluate, revise, and develop curriculum as needed for mastery of course content.
• Provide students with assessment and clear feedback regarding academic performance
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records such as attendance, grading, and achievement of student learning outcomes.
• Flexibility to work with staff regarding student/class needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to collaborate and build rapport with students.
• Open to problem-solving
• Maintain office hours

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree Preferred

Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions.

Work Hours

On Elmhurst University Campus, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00- 9:40 and 9:50-11:35
