Job Summary

The Office of the Registrar is seeking candidates for a Student Services Coordinator. The individual selected will work with dual enrollment, pathway, and transfer student services; coordinate academic programs and procedures; facilitate requests from students, faculty, and campus partners regarding dual enrollment and pathway programs; assist with onboarding and credit evaluation for transfer students. This position involves a mixture of outreach, student support, and records maintenance.

Essential Functions

Strengthen outreach efforts for dual enrollment and pathway programs; attend and present at recruiting events for these programs; respond to questions from stakeholders interested in the programs including students, parents, counselors, faculty, campus partners, and alumni.

Manage onboarding and student tracking for dual enrollment, pathway, and transfer students, including responding to questions from students and parents; enroll students in Canvas orientation course upon acceptance; maintain orientation course content and grading; and work with the dual enrollment tuition waiver program.

Advise a caseload of dual enrollment students proactively checking on students’ progress and participation in courses; refer students to academic resources as needed; and assist students with course selection for future terms.

Implement and contribute to changes and improvements to processes and communications for transfer students.

Assist with transfer evaluation processes, including curriculum content assessment; review and enter transfer coursework; and maintain and update Auburn University’s transfer course database.

Understand and consider repercussions of business processes and their downstream effects across campus.

Minimum Education and Experience

Education Level

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Field of Study

Psychology, Counseling, Education, Business, Communications, or a related field

Years of Experience

No experience required for entry level.

Area of Experience

Higher education administrative work or academic advising, customer service, outreach, or managerial work.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Level II- Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines listed above plus 2 years or more of experience in higher education administration, advising, or student services.

Level III - Bachelor’s degree in the disciplines listed above plus 4 years or more of experience in higher education administration, advising, or student services.

Additional appropriate education may apply toward the experience requirement at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

The successful candidate should be very comfortable working with students and families, presenting to groups, providing excellent customer service while multitasking, and proactive problem-solving. Being comfortable working in a fast-paced, public environment is key. The individual should also work well in a team, with exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize, organizational and analytical skills, patience, interpersonal and written communication skills, and a commitment to an inclusive and diverse campus environment.
