Position Summary

The OnCore Clinical Trials Management System ( CTMS ) Specialist will be the Clinical Research Office’s expert on the research database application calledOnCore Enterpriseused throughout the University to manage ongoing and prospective clinical research studies.

This position will focus on support for clinical research being conducted at the University and ongoing maintenance within the production database system of OnCore. The position will require a close collaborative relationship with study staff, University IT support staff and the product vendor on occasion. The OnCore CTMS Specialist will be an integral part of a team responsible for the development, training, implementation and upgrading OnCore within the University’s research community. They will continue to learn the system and expand their knowledge to introduce new functionality as the University employs increasing or new capabilities of the software.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Implementing and providing support and management of all components of the OnCore CTMS ;
  • Managing administrative and financial account set-up;
  • Maintaining a system to track all users of the CTMS ;
  • Creating/facilitating the creation of clinical trial calendars;
  • Assisting with updating information related to contract commitments and budgetary matters;
  • Developing and maintaining guidance materials on the CTMS ; and providing training to Principal Investigators and Clinical Research staff.
In addition, the incumbent will create reports, as requested; and will develop relationships with key staff in relevant hospital departments and research administration offices to implement the Clinical Research Office’s objectives and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite software programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations for training sessions, as needed.
