Randolph-Macon College invites applications for the Assistant
Director of Annual Giving in the College Advancement Office.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Annual Giving, the qualified
candidate for this full time, 12-month position will be responsible
for the annual fund gift solicitations of targeted classes and
groups of alumni, including the volunteer management of a group of
class agents and the Senior Class Gift Committee. The Assistant
Director will assist in developing a strategy for the Annual Fund’s
social media and web presence, draft compelling fundraising
appeals, and help manage the logistics and implementation of any
special solicitation programs.
This position requires a minimum 180 face-to-face visits a year (approx. 15 per month) with alumni primarily for fundraising purposes and secondarily for volunteer management of select groups.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree required and successful non-profit fund-raising experience in higher education preferred. Applicants will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to recruit and motivate volunteers, and persuasive writing and speaking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software required. Must have a valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record by insurance standards. Flexibility and willingness to travel and work nights and weekends are requirements.
