Position Summary:
The Director of Strategic Corporate Partnerships in University Advancement is responsible for engaging and managing the university's top corporate partners to maximize investment across the University of Idaho. The director works closely with the Office of the Provost, the Office of Research and Economic Development, the Office of Alumni Relations, the Office of Career Services as well as Colleges and Units across the state to develop strong relationships, strategies and compelling interdisciplinary projects that strategically advance the University of Idaho's priorities that connect directly with corporate partner interests. The director manages a personal portfolio of corporate prospects to develop comprehensive strategic engagement and solicitation plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years’ experience in fundraising or related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a corporate setting including experience in corporate relations fundraising
- Master’s degree
- Extensive major gift fundraising experience
- Strong knowledge of development activities, preferably in higher education
- Public relations or marketing experience
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning
- Strong verbal presentation skills
- Experience with program development and proposal writing
- Understanding of the corporate contribution process
- Ability to motivate volunteers
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with prospective corporate partners and donors
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate multi-faceted conversations among administration and faculty
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
