About the Opportunity

The Finance division provides services to faculty and staff across our global university. Internal Consulting is a department within Finance that provides system support and project resources both to central Finance teams and to our customer across the enterprise.

The Finance Systems Analyst is a position within Internal Consulting that plays an important role in customer success. The person in this role is responsible for supporting the Ellucian Banner Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other associated systems. They manage the relationship between functional users and technical support (central ITS). Specific operational responsibilities include customer support, training, system access and upgrade management. The person must stay current with functionality availability to ensure that we are taking full advantage of our system capabilities. They also play a key role on project teams working on system and key business process improvements.

In order to succeed in this role, the person must develop and maintain understandings of both the needs of the business units and their customers, the functionality of the systems available to the University, the organizational structure, and the chart of accounts.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business administration, information technology, or engineering management

Masters degree in a technology related field preferred

Professional:

2 years customer service and support experience required

Banner Finance or other Finance ERP support experience preferred

2 years' experience with business process and/or data analysis preferred

General Skills:

Strong organizational, time management, analytical and prioritization skills
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, demonstrated success facilitating team workshops across a broad set of constituencies and areas of expertise

Technical skills:

Proficiency using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Banner, Cognos, Service Now, Miro or similar collaboration tool

Reporting and data visualization tool such as Tableau or PowerBI
