Position Summary:

This position requires faculty engagement in teaching (both academic and clinical), clinical supervision of students in the A-State Speech and Hearing Center, active research, and service activities to the Department, the College, the University, the State, and the Region. This is a full time, 9-month tenure track position

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Teach graduate and undergraduate level coursework in communication sciences and disorders Supervise student clinicians Develop a line of research/scholarly activity Advise students Mentor graduate and undergraduate students Serve on university, college, and school committees Performs other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

This position requires expertise in Communication Sciences and Disorders as well as clinic supervision

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Science, or closely related professional field. Will consider ABD applicants

Applicants must meet the ASHA 2022 standard for clinical instruction by start of employment, a Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and a license to practice as a speech-language pathologist in Arkansas
