The College of Agriculture at Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, campus, invites applications for an Instructor in Plant and Soil Science. This position is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9- month appointment. Faculty members deliver instruction, perform service for their respective profession and community, and participate in management of the University through shared governance. Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain an environment conducive to learning which is consistent with the highest standards of the profession.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teaching five (5) courses (15 credit hours) per semester, (both fall and spring) while contributing service to both the college and university
- Teaching responsibilities may include the development and delivery of online courses in General Agriculture in the following areas: Agricultural Business, Agricultural Communications, Agricultural Education, Animal Science, Plant & Soil Science, or Precision Agriculture. An earned Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science or a related field
Ph.D. in Agricultural Science or a related field preferred.
Ph.D. candidates with ABD status in Agricultural Science or a related field may be considered
