The Kate Tiedemann School Business and Finance at the Muma College of Business, University of South Florida, invites applications for two tenure-track positions with open rank who can help build our Fintech program. Candidates with a PhD in Finance or a related discipline (e.g.; MIS, Computer Science). Successful candidates will demonstrate substantive Fintech experience.
Ideal tenure track candidates will target and publish in high quality Finance journals (JF, JFE, JFQA, RF, RFS, etc.) and all candidates demonstrate excellence in teaching. Research awards are valued. Teaching experience in Finance courses related to Fintech is highly desired.
Doctoral degree from an AACSB (or international equivalent) accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the appropriate rank.
- Evidence of ability or potential to publish in top-level journals. Research awards highly valued. A candidate’s record should support credentialing at the SA (scholar academic) classification under AACSB guidelines Substantive experience in Fintech Evidence of ability to make service contributions to the university and the profession. Proficiency in technical skills such as Blockchain, new programming languages, A.I., ect… A terminal degree from an AACSB (or international equivalent) accredited institution Overall quality of the candidate as indicated by letters of reference and personal contacts. Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, etc.
Faculty members also teach in the MBA, Executive MBA, and DBA Programs. The School offers a strong mix of collegiality and scholarship along with a friendly and welcoming environment. Faculty members are research-active, with recent publications in high quality finance journals. A new Bloomberg and Wealth Management Center research lab is available for those wishing to conduct experiments. The lab is equipped to support research and teaching.
