Position Description:

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Rowan University is seeking applicants to fill ¾ time faculty positions for Fall 2022. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Sociology in a traditional classroom format or online. These ¾ time faculty positions carry a 3/3 course load (teaching 3 courses during the fall semester and 3 courses during the spring semester). Prior teaching or professional training experience is strongly preferred, with evidence of quality instruction.

In addition to teaching, responsibilities include holding office hours, attending monthly department meetings, and participating in departmental activities.

Qualifications :

Requirements include a Master's in Sociology or a related field. Teaching duties for fall 2022 will include two sections of Classical Social Theory; the third course may include Sociology of Death, Dying and Bereavement, Sociology of Crime/Criminal Law, Social Problems, or Intro to Sociology. Candidates must be available for in-person classes on Rowan’s Glassboro campus; remote candidates should not apply.
