Job Summary

The Program Director will research and implement innovative initiatives in healthcare workforce initiatives within the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Sciences ( HARS ). This leader will develop academic infrastructure and community support to create and facilitate the upskilling of various workforce and educational programs. This is a limited-term position ending 6/30/2023.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversees and manages the daily operation of academic healthcare initiatives.
  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, and community partners—including CCRI’s academic Healthcare programs and Division of Workforce Partnerships—to design and implement initiatives aiming to upskill various workforce and educational programs.
  • Manages deliverables and communicates achievement of goals conducts data analyses, writes narratives and reports, and shares findings in accordance with program goals).
  • Maintains the Continuing Education Provider Unit Status for Northeast Multistate Regional Division.
  • Implements and evaluates Healthcare Continuing Education (CE) programs.
  • Manages operating budgets.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of multiple projects.
  • Supervises program coordinator/administrative assistant.
  • Oversees professional development and in-service training activities as required to meet project objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience in program planning and/or project development or the equivalent of this experience is required.
  • Demonstrated skill in management including organizing workshops, meetings, and group process facilitation required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with healthcare initiatives required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, knowledge of workplace competencies, and understanding of skills standards required.
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Competencies and Desired Qualifications

Work experience in post-secondary education is preferred.
