POSITION PURPOSE: Under general supervision, the Assistant to the Vice President for University Advancement (Assistant to the VPUA) reports directly to the Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA). This position performs executive level and complex administrative, project management, budget tracking work and serves as the principal administrative support to the Office of the Vice President. This position also serves as a liaison to the California State University, Bakersfield Foundation (CSUBF) Board and coordinates the activities of the Board in support of the Vice President's additional role as the Executive Director of the CSUB Foundation. The incumbent must be detail oriented, have critical thinking skills, be able to exercise independent judgment, and have effective interpersonal skills.
