Job Summary

Teach applied Strings, String Methods, Chamber Ensemble, and Music Theory

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Candidate should have a strong record of teaching and performance excellence in directing collegiate and secondary school string programs
Significant commitment to music performance and education.
Sequential Teaching methodology

Essential Job Functions

· Teach String method classes
· Teach music theory and /or sight singing and aural skills
· Conduct chamber ensemble
· Teach Applied Strings
· Serve on Committees
· Recruiting


The applicant must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Music with a strong background in applied strings. College teaching experience preferred. Experience with Orchestra is a plus.
