Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Candidate should have a strong record of teaching and performance excellence in directing collegiate and secondary school band/orchestra programs
Significant commitment to music performance and education.
Sequential Teaching methodology
Essential Job Functions
· Teach Brass method classes
· Teach music history and /or sight singing and aural skills
· Conduct chamber ensemble
· Teach Applied Brass
· Serve on Committees
· Recruiting
Qualifications
The applicant must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Music with a strong background in applied Brass. College teaching experience preferred. Experience with Orchestra is a plus.
