NYU Shanghai invites applications for a full-time clinical professor / professor of practice in business analytics. Applications for appointments in related subjects are also welcomed. The successful candidate will primarily teach (i) graduate-level courses in NYU Shanghai’s Master of Science (MS) programs in business, jointly offered with the NYU Stern School of Business, which include degrees in Data Analytics & Business Computing (DABC), Marketing & Retail Science, and Quantitative Finance, and Organization Management & Strategy, and (ii) courses in NYU Shanghai’s undergraduate business program.
The successful candidate may also assume supervisory responsibility for the MSDABC capstone project program, an experiential learning requirement that students must complete for graduation. In small groups, students are assigned to projects where they solve actual business analytics / big data / modeling problems for real corporate clients using skills learned in their coursework. Client contexts could relate to such areas in analytics as marketing, customer lifecycle, operations, human capital, and others. Each project lasts around 6 months. Supervisory responsibility for this program would consist of sourcing projects from companies and guiding students in their work.
The ability to teach courses in business analytics, big data, marketing analytics, machine learning, AI for business, information systems, innovation and strategy, digitization, consumer insights / research, FinTech, and / or similar topics is preferred.

This is a Full-Time Continuing Contract Faculty (FTCC) position. Typical appointments are on terms of 1-3 years with the possibility of renewal. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Candidates must have a graduate or professional degree (MBA, PhD, or similar) as well as prior teaching or equivalent professional experience and an enthusiastic commitment to business education. Candidates with deep experience relating to China are preferred.
Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions.
