The University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a full–time position at the rank of Lecturer for the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Duties and responsibilities include teaching and service. Normal teaching assignment will be 3 courses per semester (Fall and Spring), principally, in the areas of Spanish grammar and Spanish composition, with additional assignments in lower and upper-division Spanish courses based on departmental needs. Service duties involve various activities, such as establishing coordination procedures for upper-division courses, especially Grammar and Composition I and II; introducing new textbooks; engaging in curricular development/redesign of courses in alignment with current pedagogical research and practices; and participating in college activities designed to increase the quality of the students’ educational experience.

Position requires a Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field and 1 year of experience in teaching Spanish at the college level.
