The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business (Texas McCombs) seeks candidates for an Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). The candidate's education, perspectives, research program, and experience should enable them to provide leadership, to coordinate activities that build and maintain a diverse and inclusive faculty, staff and student community, and to support equitable treatment of faculty in research, teaching, practice and community engagement.

The Associate Dean for DEI at Texas McCombs will make an indelible impact on a wide range of activities and experiences for our internal and external communities. Those include approximately 150 full-time and 150 part-time faculty, 375 staff, 1750 graduate students, 10,000 undergraduates, and tens of thousands of alumni at a School that is among the very best worldwide. Some of those communities outside the university are part of the one of the most vibrant, attractive, and forward-looking cities as well as one of the fastest-growing states in the U.S.: Austin, Texas. Further, the Associate Dean for DEI will have opportunities to collaborate with world-renowned scholars, including in DEI domains, alongside students in top-tier doctoral programs.

As part of the academic mission of Texas McCombs, we are committed to recruiting, employing, and supporting highly-qualified faculty members with a wide range of backgrounds, ideas, and viewpoints. The institution embraces DEI in many forms. We are dedicated to the principle that individuals be respected, their voices be heard, their contributions be valued, and that they enjoy equitable access to opportunities, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religious background, sexual orientation, gender identity‑ and expression, disability, or marital, parental, age, veteran, health history, socioeconomic, or citizenship status.

This principle and this position are critical for the education, employment, advancement, compensation, recognition, and satisfaction of all individuals in our communities. Doing so helps us pursue excellence in our continuing endeavor to be a School and a “University of the First Class.”
