Full and part-time positions may become available, contingent upon curriculum needs, student enrollment and the availability of funding. These positions may not be available every year and appointments may be made on a semester-by-semester basis, but priority is given to full-time professional-track faculty on longer-term contracts with the intent of making them a lasting part of our teaching community. Positions are annually renewable, contingent on funding and performance. Salary is dependent on position and qualifications.

Applicants will need expertise and desire to teach in various areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Current teaching opportunities specifically exist in programming, software engineering and software systems, embedded systems, computer engineering and computer system design. We are also specifically looking for professional-track faculty to teach senior design capstone projects as well as entrepreneurial activities. The department is committed to building a diverse faculty, and we are interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through teaching and service.

Application Instructions

All applications must be submitted electronically via UT Austin Interfolio. We will begin evaluation of applications immediately and will continue to consider applications on an on-going basis.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and three references who will submit original letters (one of the three must be from outside of UT).

The successful candidate will be required to complete an Employment Eligibility Verification form and provide documents to verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. A security sensitive background check will be conducted on the applicant selected.
