Skidmore College seeks an Administrative Assistant for a full-time, 10-month position working with four interdisciplinary programs: Black Studies, LatinX Studies, Media & Film Studies, and Self-Determined Majors. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to faculty and students in these programs, performing both routine and specialized tasks and serving as primary liaison between these constituencies and various administrative offices (e.g., Purchasing, Registrar's Office, Facilities, Financial Services, IT). The successful candidate will be highly organized and will possess strong time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Careful attention to detail and proficiency in using computers and technology are essential. The position also requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, as well as flexibility in responding to various working and supervisory styles. Must be able to take direction and work independently while also maintaining confidentiality; patience, creativity, resourcefulness, and a sense of humor are a plus.

Associate's Degree with 2-3 years of experience. Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and accounting applications (Microsoft Office).

Required documents needed to apply:
  • On-line application
  • Cover Letter
