With the generous support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Dartmouth’s Leslie Center for the Humanities is accepting applications for two postdoctoral fellowships in the humanities from Fall 2023 to the end of Spring 2025. These fellowships foster the academic careers of scholars who have recently received their Ph.D. degrees by permitting them to pursue their research while gaining mentored experience as teachers and members of the departments and/or programs in which they are housed. The program also benefits Dartmouth by complementing existing curricula with underrepresented fields. To qualify for the fellowship, applicants should have completed the Ph.D. no earlier than January 1, 2021.

We seek candidates for placement in the Department of English and Creative Writing (with focus on the conceptual/theoretical basis of cultural work: preferred specialization in non-metropolitan approaches to and frameworks for any period of literary studies; literary studies as media studies; critical theory and the rise of populism; mathematics as it intersects with Humanities; digital studies or critical digital humanities; continental theory) apply.interfolio.com/110920 .

Please note:  We are also seeking candidates for placement in the Department of German Studies  (with preferred specialization in migration studies; Black German studies; multilingualism; postcolonial studies) apply.interfolio.com/110329.
