The Department of Biology and Biochemistry is accepting applications for a part time Adjunct Faculty for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semester. The successful applicant will teach one section of BIOL 6356/PHIL 3354, which meets twice weekly for 1.5 hours (Tue/Thur 8:30AM – 10:00AM). The adjunct will conduct lectures and discussions during this time band, hold two (2) office hours weekly, and assign and post all grades. The adjunct is expected to follow Departmental guidelines and UH policy with regards to syllabus development, excused absences, academic honesty issues, etc. These guidelines and policies are laid out in documentation provided by the Department of Biology and Biochemistry.

Qualifications :

Ph.D. in Philosophy, Medical Humanities, or a related discipline. Experience teaching medical ethics in the context of Health Sciences is highly desirable.
