General Function: 

Maintain all end user devices including but not limited to: PCs, mobile devices, desk phones, printers, classroom audio/visual equipment (including smart classroom, Zoom, and ITV equipment), etc. 

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

High School diploma plus one year of experience working in a technology related field. Additional related post-secondary education can be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis or a technical certificate with COMPTIA A+ and Network+ or Security+ (or equivalent certifications)

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Associate Degree earned from a regionally accredited institution in a related program and one year of experience working in a technology related field.

 

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair of all PC hardware and software for the college Technical assistance for all PC, telecommunication, and network users on all Motlow Campuses Maintain proper inventory of all technology assets Maintain and support documentation of knowledgebase in ITSM platform Provide HelpDesk support to the college community as needed, while maintaining proper documentation Maintain and order replacement parts and supplies for PCs, printers, and all other related technology Responsible for new, moves, additions, and changes of office technology setups. Including but not limited to: PCs, phones, printers, and network connectivity Installation and maintenance of building technology infrastructure such as: access points, cameras, etc. Testing of any new operating systems, peripherals or functional software that has been requested and approved through the proper channels. Actively support and assist with the maintenance of Zoom/ITV rooms, smart classrooms, and conference rooms. Assist with testing and preventative maintenance of all Zoom, ITV, smart classrooms, and conference rooms prior to the start of each semester. Provide faculty training (individual and/or seminar) with respect to the use of Zoom, ITV, smart classrooms, and conference rooms equipment as required Other duties as assigned 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with students, colleagues and other stakeholders Knowledge of customer service principles and practices and the ability to effectively apply them in the higher education environment Working knowledge of technology equipment to include hardware repair, software installation, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Must have working knowledge of audio/visual equipment and audio/visual troubleshooting. Experience must include a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and climb ladders safely
