Summary
The Department of Surgery is seeking a Graduate Medical Education specialist to oversee and support GME programs within the Department of Surgery. With a tri-part focus, this role will be responsible for fellowship administration for the Department’s 8 fellowship programs serving as the content expert for all fellowship related questions and concerns; developing and enhancing continuing medical education (CME) activities across the department for both housestaff and faculty; and will provide administrative coordination of the simulation center.
Required Education & Experience
- Experience in and an in-depth knowledge of graduate medical education within an academic medical center
- Working knowledge of academic health center
- Must be well-organized with the ability to manage several projects at one time
- Must have outstanding interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently without ongoing supervision
- Must have considerable computer skills and experience
- Ability to work in a diverse environment required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
